Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I rarely write reviews for anything but I felt the need to warn people about this place. Ok so I just ate at this travesty called a Chinese Buffet. For starters, they had NO crab legs the whole time I was there. That is ok though, I ended up better off for it. Seriously the whole way home, immediately after eating there I felt like I had to throw up. I barely made it home and I got extremely sick. PASS ON THIS!!!!!!

Not a bad place for Chinese buffet. They have the typical average selection of chicken, beef and seafood served in various sauces. They also have your standard egg rolls fresh fruits and even icecream. Pricing seems a little high at 7 dollars for lunch. Add tax and tip and you're at $9. My only real complaint is the atmosphere. It's a little dark and drab inside. Reminds me of an old library and really quiet. I guess it's ok if you want a quiet lunch or dinner.

If a china buffet cant produce decent noodles... i dont know how they are still open. Everything was bland, overcooked, and tasted like it had been sitting in the warming trays for hours. The sushi was halfway decent, but the wasabi was fake. Even the fortune cookie at the end of the meal was stale... Wont go back. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gave it another shot due to a gift card... Was better than last time, but still pretty bad. some of the food this time was decent. Chicken was less rubbery, they actually had crab legs (although small and overcooked) I suppose i can give it a 2 star this go round... But unless theres another gift card envolved, id rather eat the frozen chinese from a grocers freezer section...

When I moved back to Ohio, I expected to find some decent restaurants and some not so great. Unfortunately for me, this restaurant falls into the not-so-great category, but it's in Canal Winchester which is a great central point for me to get together with friends. They seem to really like it, and, maybe, the meat dishes are good. However, as a vegetarian, I've given this place two stars because it's a decent looking place with good service. If I had to rate it solely on food, it would have received just one. Buffets are never my idea of a good place to eat because everything is so bland and overcooked. This place is no different. Add to it the small selection of veggie options, and it could be summed in a paraphrased line from the movie "The Ref" - the Restaurant Guide Book recommends it to Hindus looking for a fun night out of fasting. Great Kevin Spacey/Judy Davis/Denis Leary/Christine Baranski movie - dull Chinese restaurant.

This is probably my favorite buffet in the area. The staff is nice and polite, and the manager always goes out of his way to be friendly. He always remembers me, my wife, and my daughter. The food is pretty high quality for a buffet, with a few shrimp dishes (one even during the lunch menu), crab legs (dinner), peanut chicken, and many other choices. They have the standard General Tsos Chicken, egg rolls, as well as sushi options. The food is stocked very quickly as well, although sometimes they are slow to restock the peanut chicken. The price is decent for the many options available. This is my "go to" Chinese buffet near Lancaster, since I don't think Lancaster's is very good.

The food at this buffet is very good, but the best part of it is the service. We came to dine a little more than an hour prior to closing. The manage/owner and servers quickly met us at the buffet asking us if there was anything that we would like them to make (the items that were already out or low)... we asked for a few things, and they made it AND brought it to our table! What amazing service! They were very gracious, and they were always asking if there was anything else we needed. Now that's service!

Let me start by saying this place is decorated to the T. Asian themed decor runs throughout this cavernous restaurant. It looks and feels good. Place seemed clean and the booths were comfortable. This is a buffet driven restaurant, which I usually tend to steer away from, but this one was very good. A HUGE selection from pizza and fries, to Pad Thai and everything in between. Food temp was hot, which I like but usually find lacking at buffets. Nicely done. Service was flat out killer. No sooner than looking like you need something, the wait staff springs into action like Nijas repelling down ropes, clearing away the old, setting up the new, then disappearing as fast as they arrived. Impressive. All for a great price too. Four stars!

Very clean, nice decor, friendly service. The food however was just ok. Anything fried was pretty good. The sesame chicken and such was ok. Stay away from the boiled shrimp. Lots of good kid options. Close to home. Will try again.

I go there about 2 times a month. The very first thing you encounter is that terribly smelling water fountain . If you're lucky enough to get there at the right time and day the food is plentiful and hot. If you go a little after primetime all the food is just barely warm.

This place is a bit out of the way from where I live in Westerville, but a friend and I decided to give it a try as we were in the area that day. The decor on the inside was a bit more ritzy than what you'd normally see at a Chinese buffet and very nice! There were several different food bars with everything from fresh sushi to main courses, soups, and desserts. As for the servers....they were pretty hard to understand, but they were kind and very attentive! I'll definately be back!

I've been to numerous buffets and this one is near the top of the list. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. Not filthy as other buffets I've been too. The food tasted great and was always restocked. I had a variety of dishes from orange beef (Highly recommend) to general tso chicken. The crab rangoons weren't very hot and kind of dry. The only complaint that I had was that most of the food wasn't very hot, but this maybe due to the the time that I went, near the end of lunch. The wait staff was very polite and would come by every so often to refill drinks. If you're craving chinese food and want a variety of different dishes, definitely check out Golden China.

I love Golden China. The wait staff is very friendly and nice the food is good and it inexpensive. I've never gone in here and had bad food, not once.

Golden China Buffet is one of the better buffets in Columbus, though its out-of-the-way location makes it an inconvenient choice for anyone not in Canal Winchester. The feel of the restaurant is spot on: tasteful decorations, comfortable seating, and a helpful, friendly staff. The only complaint I have is that the most recent time I went was for a late lunch the hostess sat my friend and I immediately next to the only other group in the restaurant. Awkward. Uncomfortable seating aside, the food at Golden China is the biggest draw. The buffet is huge--5 tablefuls!--and includes some items rare to budget buffets: a good selection of fresh fruits, extremely tasty sushi, and of course tons of wonderful Chinese cuisine. I was able to try only a small sampling of the food available, but was generally pleased: the General Tso's and Sesame Chicken stand out as particularly high quality and the crab rangoon is the best in the county. A few of the dishes were not for me: the Yamoto Chicken, Peanut Chicken, and "Spare Ribs" were not good, so avoid those. Also, the sweet and sour chicken was extremely buttery--not something I like. As mentioned, the sushi here is surprisingly good for Chinese Buffet sushi, so we were a bit disappointed that it was gone. When we asked if any more would be made our server told us that the sushi chef was out that day. As a testament to the staff, a few minutes later we noticed some obviously amateur-made sushi had been put out. It might not have looked as good as normal, but it tasted great! If you're looking for a good Chinese buffet and don't mind a bit of a drive, give Golden China a try. At about $7 a person, you can't go wrong!

The first time I ate here was shortly after they opened up and the manager/owner was very polite. The food is basically your normal Chinese buffet, nothing super spectacular. I have yet to eat anything that hasn't been good. The sesame chicken is better than most, the chicken dishes are tender and moist, and the pepper chicken is amazing. The service is great and the people that work there are very polite. Not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they say the fountain smells. I've never experienced any strange smell coming from the fountain. Maybe those reviews are smelling themselves (soap does wonders, you know). At any rate I've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Golden China is definitely on my very short list of Chinese buffets.

OK for the price. Was there for lunch and it wasn't very busy. Walking in you smell the water fountain which was good looking but stunk like a fish tank that is in need of a deep cleaning. The choices on the buffet were marginal...similar...and luke warm. We will not be back.

omg! this place is sooo nasty! do not eat her! the service is bad too! you would think for being in "Ohio" the Asians would know how to speak English! I'M ASIAN AND I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THEIR ACCENTS! i moved here from California and wanted Asian food...my sister was like o there's a buffet next to my place its cheap....ugh! i should of said no but i wanted noodles and was starving! all their food was cold and over cooked! the noodles were soooo soggy i had to spit it out! do not eat here! spend an extra dollar for something better! The worst part of the experience is that we went when they first opened and so i would think i the food would be fresh and at least warm! i will never eat here again!

We frequent oriental buffets all around the Columbus area and this is the one we return to most often. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food has always been good. The peanut sauce chicken is fantastic. My suggestions would be to increase the sushi selection and add more new dishes.
